Song Sparrow Farm

Song Sparrow Farm No-till produce & herbs + pickles, veggie sides, baked goods, and herbal teas made with ‘em! We don't use toxic chemicals and we fertilize organically.

Song Sparrow Farm is a 3/4 acre (and growing!) farm in Florence, Northampton, Massachusetts. We are focused on growing amazing tasting, nutrient dense food, in living soil, without the use of tilling. We use local compost and anything we buy that goes on soil or plants is OMRI certified. Our produce is available at our Farmstand and at:

Lovebird Kitchen, Bread Euphoria, State Street Fruit Store,

Coopers Corner, & River Valley North & River Valley East Coops. We also have Farm Shares available, for the most affordable way to get our freshest offerings, right at the farm. More about our practices:

We're committed to farming in an ecologically sound, way that moves us closer to climate resilience. Thats why we don't till the soil after initial setting up of the beds: to protect the soil microbiome and sequester carbon. We’re also committed to keeping the people who work to grow the food, as healthy as the food. This starts by respecting people who work with us, And extends to bringing share holders into the category of workers, by offering farm share members the opportunity to do work share, rather than only paying for their share with cash.

My Story

After a successful first season growing in Haydenville, Diego’s Farm (formerly Riverwood Farm), is moving to Meadow Street in Florence! Thank you everyone for visiting the Haydenville farm-stand, buying my radishes, tomatoes, and cucumbers at River Valley Co-op, and supporting my passion project. Looking forward to supplying you with fresh, nutrient-dense produce in 2019.
