We’re bringing a little piece of Kerala to New Hope. 🇮🇳🔥

So… what exactly is a Kallu Shaap?

In Kerala, a Kallu Shaap is a traditional toddy shop — a casual gathering place where friends come together, conversations flow, and the table is filled with bold, rustic Kerala food.

For one special night, Smell The Curry is recreating that experience at New Hope Ferry Market.

Expect a communal feast featuring favorites like Kappa & Meen Curry, Kerala Parotta, Beef Fry, Chicken Roast, Fish Fry, traditional pickles & sides, Payasam and a few surprises along the way. 🌶️🥥

This isn’t your typical dinner out. Come hungry, share a table, experience the flavors of Kerala, and enjoy a night centered around food, culture and good company.

An unforgettable evening of Kerala flavors 🇮🇳🔥

Our South Indian Supper Club at Ferry Market featured the traditional experience of **Chatti Choru** — a rustic Kerala-style clay pot feast layered with rice, curries, fish fry, thoran, chammanthi, pickles, and bold coastal flavors.

From the clay pot presentation to the small tapas-style dishes and wine pairings, this dinner was all about bringing people together over authentic food and storytelling.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special experience. The energy, conversation, and support made the night truly memorable. ❤️
