PSA.. if you’re feeling down and out, just remember it’s going to be okay and at least you don’t look as terrible as Becky!

Molting is a natural process where chickens shed their old feathers and grow a fresh new set! This typically happens in the fall as daylight decreases.

*Becky was not attacked, simply working on her fresh set of feathers for winter.*

We retained a doe kid from her crop this past season. Great dam, easy kidding, good milker. She was a bottle baby back in her day making her easy to handle. If it weren’t for the fact she doesn’t care for our small kids, she probably wouldn’t be leaving.

Ultrasound confirmation video in comments.

Message our farm page or text Frankie 740-232-4530 for any further details.

We took a break from getting the barn ready for fall kidding season to run a 5k!

Tripp walked/ran the entire 3.2mi and then completed the Little Pumpkin Run with second in his heat!

Judd took a nap in the stroller for nearly 2mi and then woke up just in time to compete in the Little Pumpkin Run where he wiped out almost immediately, ruining his enjoyment.

Mom and Dad placed 45th and 20th overall, beating last years times and placed 1st in Women’s age bracket and 2nd in Men’s age bracket.

Now it’s time for goat kids and hunting season!!

🍁Happy Fall Y’all!🍁
