Heavy Heifers Cattle Co.

09/12/2026

Heavy Heifers Cattle Co. went on a field trip this week and brought home a new addition to the farm! 🚌

Everyone, meet Henrietta! 👑❤️

Henrietta is a beautiful Santa Gertrudis heifer who is due to calve in the next couple of months.

We spent a lot of time this week learning about this incredible breed. Fun fact: developed right here in the US at the legendary King Ranch in Texas, they are famous for being exceptionally tough, heat-tolerant, and amazing mothers.

We can’t wait for her to calve and watch her be a great mama! 🐂

🤠 Sleep is officially a thing of the past at Heavy Heifers Cattle Co! The first calf of 2026 has officially hit the ground, which means our current daily routine consists of early morning and late night pastures walks, lots of playing "find the hidden baby" in the brush and performing our daily rear-view inspections! (IYKYK)
Mom is doing great, the baby is healthy, and our sleep schedules are completely ruined. We wouldn't trade it for the world! 🐄 👶

Hello 2025! 🥳
We’re so excited for whats in store for HH this coming year! We’re expecting 1 🐄 in February, 2 🐄🐄 in April, 3 🐄🐄🐄 in August and our first orders of farm raised beef is scheduled for June!

But most importantly none of this would have been possible without the amazing family and friends who are always willing to lend a hand and offer advice.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and successful 2025! 🐄🐓🥰
