Been testing since 2015 for CL CAE and Johne's. Heavenly Hill Farm is a small habby farm, located in a small town of Foley. It's in the central part of Minnesota, 25 miles east of St.Cloud. The farm is owned and operated by The Jurek family and are proud members of the MGR. At this time, farm is housing 34 registered Myotonic goats, 6 bucks, 3 wethers and does. All of the herd are registered with

Myotonic Goat Registry. Months of September and October, we start breeding for February and March babies. Daily the kids are handled and make great pets for someones family. We are at this point of change from small, medium size goats to large muscular. Next year and the years after, we are starting to show all over. After our first show in the fall of 2014 and had a great time, the farm is looking forward to adding show quality animals as well. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. We love taking about goats. Hope you take the time to look of the site and it will make you want to purchase a loved baby from us!! Thanks for looking!

Unfortunately, my first groups of bucklings will be culled or are culled. Only 3 are saved 2 for future platinum wethers and 1 for Rachael's bred and owned buckling.

That's 15 bucklings for the 1st around and only 1 may stay as a buckling otherwise, be will turned into Rachael's show wether. So far, his showing promise.

This 2nd has more promising buck prospects.... We only 5 bucklings on the ground and so far, all 5 are showing promise. 2 of them, still are waiting for 1 ear each but I like them otherwise.

Our friend, Sarah O, hit it on the head... If everyone actually wants to keep improving your herd and in general, the Myotonic breed of goat as a whole, we need to make so heavy cuts and decisions.

Well this weekend, Philip and I did that! We culled 14 goats this weekend. They were not all wethers either.... We culled seniors bucks, does, wethers, yearling does to doelings. We are making tough cuts.

1 # look at the score card, make cuts for bad top lines, head, ears and tracking.
Philip and I, also cull more than just that... Cut anything that don't have good mothering instincts, hard keeps, bad testicles or udder attachments.

Haven't posted in awhile but babies are in full swing.
16 does kidded out between July through August
11 so far for the 2nd round... Got 2 more due from not to the end of December.

We will have roughly 17 does due for this spring! We have not done this for a few years, but we are super excited for this change. They will start kidding out in March and April.

There is a lot of changes going on also on the farm. We are going to be hopefully moving to a bigger place! With way better barns and bigger pastures for the goats next spring. We will be cutting hardcore to the herd for faults and to start building out our herd.
