Erg! And this is why we break into a separate bowl. We try to collect eggs daily, especially when it’s warm and we have broody hens, but on rare occasions we get the start of vessels and on extremely rare occasions we get this. We knew it was more likely with this clutch because we caught a sneaky hen sitting in the hay shed on these. While technically edible, no thanks!

And, no, we do not need more chicks this year!

Currently in negotiations with pest control.

I issued two permits for two spidies to build on the main path but with the restriction that they had to build their webs AT LEAST 6 ft and higher.

I clotheslined myself on a web this morning. Either I grew a whole bunch overnight or they built out of zone.

Webs have been…..adjusted, fines will be mailed.
