What more could a farmer want than rain and sunshine in perfect harmony?
Sometimes, in the bustle of sunny days, we forget to slow down and take in the awe of what we've built. We get caught up in the work; the days spent planting on our hands and knees, laying endless rows of fabric and staples, pulling weeds, harvesting crops, and checking off one task after another.
So many of these in-between moments get lost in the hustle of a busy season.
When the rain comes, it's a welcome reminder to pause and reflect on what makes a great season possible. It grounds us and brings us back to the present. It reminds us to appreciate not only the harvest, but all the unseen work that made it possible.
Growth doesn't happen overnight...well, except maybe for asparagus.
Real growth happens in the discomfort, the hard days, the long nights, and the work that no one gets to see. It's built in the quiet moments, the steady effort, and the commitment to keep showing up day after day.
As we move into the next phase of the season, we're trying to give ourselves a little more space to grow, to appreciate the journey, and to appreciate one another. We're grateful for the rain, the sunshine, and for all of you who support the farm through every season.
