The official countdown to ONE YEAR has begun. And we're highlighting this major milestone with a post every day leading up to the big celebration.
So here's to Day 1! 🍻
Bringing a brewery back to Fond du Lac started out as a question: "Why has it been so long since FDL has had one?" That question transformed into an idea and quickly snowballed into a reality. Said dreamer, Michael Leb, knew it would be no easy feat, but his entrepreneurial spirit and driven nature kept him moving forward toward the ultimate goal: opening Fond du Lac's first brewery in over 80 years.
He had the space and a vision; all that was left was finding an experienced and passionate brewer. That's when the city introduced him to Lyle Hari. With years of experience crafting beer and working in breweries across the country, Lyle was ready to take his recipes, knowledge, and deep passion for brewing and create beers people could enjoy.
The next (and biggest) step was transforming the aging warehouse into a space where friends and family could gather. The building needed more than a facelift; it needed a complete reconstruction. Months of demolition, planning, construction, problem-solving, and serious hard work transformed an idea into a proper brewery. Every corner was thoughtfully designed, and while the process wasn't without its unexpected challenges and roadblocks, it was truly a labor of love. Today, that once-aging warehouse has become a welcoming space where our community comes together over great beer, food, and company.
On June 21, 2025, we opened our doors to the public. That dream finally became a reality, and what a year it's been!
