Four mama ducks, one giant daycare agreement no one remembers signing. 🐥🦆

Watching these girls co-mother their babies has been the sweetest thing. No “mine” or “yours,” just a waddling little flock raised by a whole village. One keeps watch, one finds snacks, one rounds up the stragglers, and one is probably just emotionally supporting everyone. 😂

Nature has a funny way of reminding us that sometimes the best way to raise babies is together. 💛

These sweet little piggies are looking for new farms of their own 🐷🩷

These little moments are my favorite part of farm life — tiny muddy noses, warm bellies, and babies that trust you enough to completely melt into your hands.

My son Oliver has some of his ducklings for sale after a lot of convincing..

The youngest ones are a barnyard mix could be a cross of any of the following

Muscovy
Cayuga
Khaki Campbell
Blue Swedish

Then the older ones are 100% muscovy and starting to get pin feathers.

With all the rain I don't have pictures but they were all hatched out by their mamas.

Copper the mini donkey is officially way past “any day now” and has moved straight into hostage negotiation territory 😅

At this point we’re convinced she’s got that baby in there like, “You can come out when you’re ready… or when I finish this hay… or maybe next week.” Meanwhile we’re all standing around like an exhausted support team who’s been on call for approximately 97 years.

For those following along—donkey gestation is no joke! Mini donkeys can carry for around 11–14 months, and they like to keep you guessing right up until the very end. No calendars, no warnings, just vibes.

So here we are… still waiting… still checking… still being emotionally manipulated by a very round, very unbothered mama. 😂

These ducklings are up, peeping, and ready to take on the day—sticking close together as they explore their world one tiny step at a time. Fun fact: ducklings imprint on their mama (or caregiver) shortly after hatching, which is why they love to follow along in the cutest little parade.

We’ve had a few chilly nights since these sweet piglets made their debut, and while a piglet pile might be the cutest thing you’ll see all day—it’s also a survival strategy! 🐷💕

Piglets are born without much body fat and can’t regulate their temperature very well, so they snuggle up in a big, wiggly pile to share warmth. It’s nature’s way of making sure everyone stays cozy and safe.

So yes, it’s adorable… but it’s also teamwork at its finest. 💛
