February is here, and Heart Land Hill is once again open for business! We have new offerings and announcements happening all the time, so please make sure to stay up to date with everything that's happening around here. Here are February's announcements:
-We took our bull to market today. On February 18th he'll be ready for pick up and will be ready to sell, meaning we'll be offering USDA grade beef at that time. Ribeye steaks, ground, flat irons, and most standard cuts will be available. Quarter cow is also available with notice. If you're interested in some beef please let us know by sending us a message, or by calling the farm phone.
-Our February Valentine's Day Supper Club will be held on Saturday February 15th! We'll be serving: Starter - Valentine's Day salad. Mixed greens, strawberries, blue cheese and sunflowers make up this classic first course, topped off with an aged balsamic vinaigrette. Main course - Locally sourced pork roast dressed with coriander, thyme, and a roasted strawberry merlot glaze. Served with a side of mashed acorn squash from the garden and homemade dinner rolls. Dessert - Chocolate Pots De Creme - Served cold, and made with dark chocolate, brandy, coffee, heavy cream, and a whipped cream and raspberry garnish to top it off. Fresh baked sourdough bread and a complimentary glass of wine will be served alongside your meal. Cost is 30 per person, 20 for children 12 and under. To reserve: You can reserve your seats by sending a message to us with reservation details, using the "purchase" option on our website (shop products/tickets), or calling the farm phone at 641 585 1216. First come first serve - please join us.
-Our bakery items are now available on Saturdays and on special occasions. Bakery items include our homemade sourdough bread, homemade pies, and dinner rolls. Please allow 24 hours to prepare your fresh bakery items.
-Our soup of the month is homemade chicken noodle. The soup is available by the pint and by the quart, and can be picked up anytime Mon - Sat.
