This plant saved my precious bantam chicken's life. I had accidentally stepped on her tiny little leg and fractured it. I tried everything and nothing worked. I tried bandaging with a popsicle stick and just bandaging. Tried isolating her, but she said no way to that. She is one of just 5 in her group. She would fall down and go rolling and manage to pick herself back up. She learned to take low tiny steps. She ate and drank water very well. I was at a crossroad whether to put her down. My heart was breaking and decided that I had nothing to lose. I know how comfrey plants work for humans and horses, so maybe chicken's injuries, too. I started giving her group fresh leaves. In about 2 weeks time she is walking without falling. Yesterday, she walked into the layer box just to show her appreciation. The total time from the beginning was about 5 or 6 weeks.
