This week, Klein’s hosted our very first Women’s Leadership Council meeting — and what a way to start. Surrounded by smart, driven women from across our team, the conversation centered on something close to our hearts: how women can lift each other up and step boldly into leadership.

The energy in the room said it all. When women support women, everyone rises. 🙌

🎓 This is what it's all about.

Through the Klein's ShopRite of Maryland scholarships at Harford Community College, we get to play a small part in some very big dreams — and we recently heard from two recipients who reminded us exactly why we do it.

Brittany, a nursing student from Abingdon, is working toward a career in trauma and emergency care, where she hopes to be there for patients and families during their hardest moments. 💙

Courtney, a chemistry and biology major, is chasing a future in forensic science, with plans to continue her studies at Towson University and help keep her community safe. 🔬

To Brittany, Courtney, and every student investing in their future — we're cheering you on every step of the way. 👏

🍳 Pantry Staples, Big Flavor!

We gave ourselves a tasty little challenge: create crave-worthy recipes using the kind of pantry staples you'll often find at the Harford Food Bank — proof that a handful of simple ingredients can turn into a seriously good meal.

First up, Sarah Klein is whipping up a better-than-takeout Fried Rice using a few cabinet basics from the food bank. (Spoiler alert: it did not last long.)

And we couldn't be more honored to welcome a very special guest — PJ Craig, CEO of the Harford Community Action Agency. The Harford Food Bank is part of HCAA, and they do incredible work helping our neighbors right here in Harford County.
