Fourth of July bouquet made and ready for pick up for my sweetest customers. I adore how Queen Ann’s lace and white Scabiosa look like fireworks.

It's a great night to come relax and watch sweet wholesome play! I have no idea how Lucy became such a talented actress, but she is a joy to watch on stage. Play starts at 7pm at the North Branch High School.

Lucy and Alice will be performing, come support them!

Stop and appreciate the poinsettia with me tonight. It is so marvelously designed and so easy to overlook! Out of the 30 million sold each holiday season, I wonder how many buyers have taken the time to admire its beauty? I mean, it is so easy to see this stunner simply as the tried-and-true Menards plant. However, this flower should be seen as royalty! The velvety red flowers are actually leaves of the same form as the green leaves of the shrub. The red (or pink/white) parts are actually bracts. How does Creator God (Jesus!... Hebrews 1:2) program this plant to turn the last leaves of the stem velvety red?! I hope from now on you will marvel with me over Queen Poinsettia. The poinsettia is a symbol of Hope and Rebirth that will surely add to your Advent celebration. As we celebrate the incarnation of Jesus this Advent, what a treasure to also think about Jesus laying the foundation of the world and creating flowers on the 3rd day of creation.

I am still trying to learn how to get my wreaths not to look so lopsided and how to sew my pillows to fit the pillow insert better, but here is cheers to learning a little more each year.

A sneak peak…Reformation Dinner requested by our 11 year old son. Table scape inspired by the last of the garden treasure: Baby blue Eucalyptus, Dusty Miller, and blue pumpkins, all paired exquisitely with orange zinnias and orange baby pumpkins! Might be my favorite color palette.

Goodbye for now… fresh burst of colors, 😞

that only means…

time to create artful scenes of our imagination, homes and gardens on
watercolor paper and canvas,
textile matchy matchy,
Garden plans,
hang art on the walls. 🤩

Oh and wreaths!!! Cant’t forget to make those!

Candles and cinnamon brooms,
May the Lord bless you,
Alicia
