Hello all! I am sure many of you have noticed I haven’t posted and update in some time. I regret that I have to share this news-
Over the past year I have had increasing pain, vertigo, and nausea, that has made baking difficult at first to down right impossible over the past 3 months. I saw multiple doctors over 8 months and after many tests they discovered an aggressive growth in my inner ear. It was eroding my hearing bones, growing into the neighboring tissue, and needed to be operated on. I thought as soon as this surgery was done I would be back to my old self ready to take on the holidays in stride, so I was reluctant at first to make any note of it on my business page.
I am in recovery after a successful surgery for which I’m incredibly grateful for. However, the procedure resulted in tongue numbness and distortion of taste. According to my surgeon the result may or may not be permanent. As you can imagine, this makes baking and testing products to ensure they are of the highest quality unfeasible.
With this disheartening side effect I am sad to say I am taking a hiatus from Frosted Rose for the foreseeable future until circumstances change. I thank you all for your support over my first year in business and hope to come back to you with better news.
Don’t worry- I plan on taking my creativity into other pursuits in the meantime, stay tuned for my next venture and thank you again for your business, love, and support! I have truly enjoyed meeting with you all whether for custom orders or at one of my events. Sharing my joy for baking while chatting and enjoying each others company really was the highlight of my year.
Happy Holidays, friends
