We have a local who has put out some apple butter and grape jelly at the stand! Come and get it. Soooo good. She is asking for money for them as they do cost a lot in supplies to make. Everything else is still free and we have so many tomatoes! More added since this picture was taken!

You may have noticed that the girls aren’t free ranging anymore. They have a large area to roam that is fenced in by the coop because the fox come around and reduced our flock 33 percent. Took so many of our babies that we love. So in order to protect them, we have to keep them put away. Breaks my heart to do so but we do give them a few hours of supervised freedom once in a while. No problems in 4 years with predators but this year has been terrible. 😞

Before we know it, we won’t be able to provide eggs anymore. This fox has been taking and eating all of chickens. Today we lost our littlest and last silkie girl “Luda”. Then it came back for another but I scared it off. When will it stop? It’s not going to stop until all the girls are gone. We have been trying to trap it and also trying to shoot it at this point but no success. RIP Luda girl.

Someone’s been limping for the last few days. Poor girl needed an epsom salt bath. Her feet look fine so not really sure...
