Annie had 12 kits this morning! It was like a clown car act when I started pulling them out,I was sure there would only be a handful last night when she started nesting.theres blues and brokens,what looks like 1 chocolate,and one pretty little brindle. Mudshoe only had 3 so I took 3 of annies broken and moved them over. Even though it looks like Annie had about 4-5 peanuts I believe it's just cause she ran out of room. There's only 2 i think are at risk of failing and they're just sluggish,the rest are popping. Mudshoes babies are BIG,and im very curious to see what colors they blues turn

Welp looks like Annie tried to pull a fast one on us! So glad I caught her. She full on ignored her nest box for a week,she didnt nest late with her other litters and she was looking trim so I went ahead and took it out. Went in for a late check on Mudshoe to see if she kindled before I got baby trapped for the rest of the night and Annie had gathered every tiny scrap of hay left in her cage for a mini hay stache. She's now happily digging through her hay pile to finally prep her nest on her due date 😏

We've fallen behind on updates here 😅 we've had so many new additions the past month but only half of them have names yet. Introducing... Waylon Mathias Bellamy and guardian we**ie Cookie! Waylon is very much a no frills baby, he likes bo***es and naps and nothing else. Cookie however is a hard of hearing diva already capeable of puting moose in his place. We're over run with babies here,hopefully we'll get on to evaluating the rest of our babies soon.

Her first litter at over a year old lol I think shes ready 😅 shes not gotten much bigger but id rather her have a smaller litter this late with the temps being likely to spike soon. Introducing 4D's Mudshoe, a brindled castor on the smaller side but decently balanced. She was paired with our current largest buck Wild Hair Rabbits Christian for her first litter, and likely our last this season since it looks like Annie didn't take. Hopefully well get some Opal, its a color we havnt seen here yet

Unfortunately I had to do a nest box cull on one of Blue's kits today. The one I thought was bruised had some other issues going on. Every day ive had to clean crusted urine off of its bottom,last night the poor thing was bloated and I noticed while cleaning that what looked like bruising on the outside was a buildup of thick urine in his abdomen. After I got it cleaned off with the swelling on its bottom I could see there were two urinary openings instead of one and due to the amount of buildup what u would assume to be an enlarged bladder and possibly two causing displacement. I massaged his belly to get as much out as i could but this morning the crusting was worse and his legs were scalded. This baby would not have had a comfortable life and im lucky to have caught the issue so soon due to its light coloring. I wish I would've thought to take a picture of his little belly before I culled him but I dont like having to cull as is and wanted to take care of it quickly. The other two babies are perfectly healthy still and mom has been in a great mood compared to her usual self

These two sweet girls have been sharing a nest! They had a large clutch set up but they dont have a drake so I replaced with muscovey eggs. I'm not sure how their going to manage the hatchlings but their doing great so far

Our two show boys for summer and fall. I cant keep another white buck since we have so many carriers now but im seriously considering keeping the blue one as Bedford's replacement. I wouldn't be able to use him for our blacks since im keeping their sister but both Bedford and Blue carry chocolate so he can be used there. The REW has a slightly shorter shoulder but his fur is a little more course right now. The blue is still reluctant to sit still but both have good attitudes and seek out attention. No names yet for these either

I think i have found a replacement for Aphrodite in Blue Cyclones REW girl. We'll be looking to fill out that loin in her future pairings with Christian but her growth is above average still and she is an improvement from her mom. Not to mention a great attitude. We'll test her on the table with her first show in Wichita Falls and a couple more in the fall. Then she'll move to the shed for Winter and her first breedings. No name yet

The other baby managed to have the opposite problem. He started an internal zip but was unable to pip after knocking all day. I freed him up some and hes in the incubator drying off for a bit with his sibling. They'll go back out to mom before morning
