On April 10th we had two chicks hatch out in our small incubator. I had put 11 eggs into the incubator, but most ended up not being fertile. We ended up with these two very healthy, and cute D'Uccle chicks! It looks like one will be silver, and one will be buff. I am going to put more eggs in the incubator in the near future.

Second load of hay is in the barn. Tom Corby did all the stacking. A couple more loads ought to be enough.

Early morning wake-up to go get 101 bales of hay. Petunia "helped" us get it stacked into the barn; you can never have too much help stacking hay. Just waiting on the last 50 bales to get cut and baled.

Petunia had her first bath yesterday. She is doing great, but has scours and tends to be a little messy. Electrolytes and yogurt as been helping a lot. She also been helping me do and work the last couple of days. She's very curious about every thing, and has decided that walking in the grass isn't her thing 🤔

We unexpectedly, but happily adopted a baby Boer goat yesterday. She is 5 days old, and is a bottle baby. Her mother rejected her, and she couldn't suckle very well. The breeders have about 20 other babies on the ground, and they didn't have time to do the 4 times daily feedings and care. They of course, would; but wanted to adopt her out if possible. They contacted Linda Moore to contact me to see if we would want to adopt her. We drove out to their beautiful farm in the pouring rain last night to get her.

So, welcome the new member of Lots of Spots Farm: Petunia
