The Apple Butter Project Day 4

Finally, it feels like it took forever. From 10 lbs of apples I wound up with 7.5 lbs after peeling and coring.

From that I was able to make 2.75 pints of finished Apple Butter.

I greatly reduced the water content as I do not care for runny Apple butter-I likes it thick, and to not taste like applesauce.

Canned at a full rolling boil for 30 mins to adjust for high altitude.

Worth it? Hmmmm…what are your thoughts?

Day 3-The Apple Butter Project- (Three days because of my time constraints).

After several hours of reducing to remove excess moisture, I think we are finally there.

Next step is to can the apple butter for high altitude and preservation.

Cinnamon roll preorders are open for the weekend of February 18-20th)

These are soft, rich cinnamon rolls made with a creamy yogurt dough, generously filled and finished with a simple glaze. They’re baked fresh in small batches and offered by preorder so I can bake intentionally and keep quantities manageable.

• Saturday or Sunday pickup (Fort Collins)
