As the house project plugs on we continue to disrupt the locals. Yesterday we repaired some wood that apparently was an exit for bats. Five of them joined us downstairs at about 11:00 last night. Kinda creepy….not gonna lie!

Allen A. Theiss, 76, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, January 11, 2021, at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City.

Due to covid, a graveside service for Allen will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, at Newark Township Cemetery near Vincent. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Allen A. Theiss was born July 16, 1944, at Fort Dodge, the son of Alvin H. and Alta V. (Christopher) Theiss. He was baptized on August 13, 1944, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Allen lived with his parents on a farm at Duncombe, Iowa until age 37, at which time he became a resident of Woodward State Hospital School. In 1992, Allen became a resident of Northwoods Living in Fort Dodge, now a service of One Vision at Clear Lake. He enjoyed his time at Northwoods and was always ready to go for a ride. When his health declined, he moved to Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Esther M. Theiss.

Memorials may be given to One Vision.
