We spent the past couple of weekends working our cows and sending cows out. The weather is cooling off and as the days in the hay fields are getting shorter, the hay yard is filling up. While the new babies all bulk up very nicely. Welcome to our very favorite time of the year.

Tonight our baby Cayuga ducks got to got outside with the big ducks for the first time…
Did you know that Cayuga ducks are listed as threatened with the livestock Conservancy. This means there is estimated to be less then 1,000 breeding pairs left. Can you guess what color eggs these girls lay ?

New calf’s are dropping everyday… and the heard is looking mighty fine this year. Farmer Harleigh has been doing regular calf checks and boy did she find a handsome fella this morning.

Farmer Lee and Xavier worked on Baleage again all day and started our 3rd row for the year… our cows will eat this all winter as an added fed to help them maintain there figures all winter !

As July is winding down and we are enjoying all the summer fun we can, we hope you join us here for all the excitement!

Calving season is looking a bit different here on the farm these days… Farmers Dani, Keith, and Leigha all now have their very own little farmers. Making Gramps job 100x more fun. Same lil farm, same small dream, just a whole lot more free labor. 👩🏼‍🌾
