It’s freezing outside but I’m GRATEFUL! Our area was supposed to get a horrible ice storm. The weather team said there was a CHANCE we could lose power, roads would be closed, and a lot of damage. However we were BLESSED to have all that miss us. The flash backs from hurricane Helene made us farmers grow weary. We busted our butts to prepare for the worst. Long days of boarding up coops, hanging heat lamps, generator tests, filling up all gas tanks, etc. I see all the posts saying "thats all we got?”, "All that work for nothing ?" , etc….BUT you know what???? It could have been like Helene! HOMES DESTROYED! DEAD ANIMALS! All the prep aside, the real point is this: we were spared! I dont take that for granted. Today we should be thinking of neighbors and communities whose area it hit. We should be praying for their families and farms. WE SHOULD BE GRATEFUL…
