We slaughtered and processed 32 Freedom Rangers and 10 male ducks on Sunday. These chickens were organically grown on high protein feed, weeds and bugs. I'm so excited to have ethically sourced chicken in my freezer.

We have our first little cross beaked chick.

Not Judy has her littles in gen pop as well. She freaked out when a few got trapped in the flower bed. Now she is cuddled with them all in the trailer.

Edit: something got the mamma last night. All the babies are safe and in the Palace now.

We set mamma turkey free. Her and the poults are enjoying being free. Look at that dirt bath.

We moved some birds around. The little geese are in a kennel, inside the palace. This way they won't eat yhe chicks.

Ferra is doing so great as a mom. She has 3 species with her and they all call her Mamma.

Not Judy got moved to a kennel on top of the Palace. She does not approve of the turkey being in her yard. So she will live here until the turkey babies are big enough to be trusted in gen pop with their mom. She also gets ducklings this week.

Ferra, our feral hen, upgraded from sitting on goose eggs to having chicks! I got the last of my large layer order yesterday and she took them no problems.

The turkey babies are doing well. The youngest gosling decided it identifies as a turkey now.
