From the nursery to the mountainside, we care for each plant long before its first harvest. There’s plenty of growing and work ahead, and we’re happy to share this part of the journey with you.

Plot twist: there’s no honey in this Honey coffee. 🍯🐝

The sweetness comes from the coffee cherry itself. During the Honey process, part of its natural mucilage stays on the bean while it dries and that’s where the magic happens.

Caramel says hello. Hazelnut joins the party. Vanilla smooths everything out. And that honey-like sweetness? It stays for the goodbye.

Grown high in the mountains of Finca KOA in Nicaragua and carefully selected by hand.

Basically: Specialty-coffee quality.

Nature always has a way of surprising us. 🌿

While walking through Finca KOA, we suddenly heard movement in the trees. We looked up and there they were—two wild toucans.

Moments like this never lose their magic.

Seeing wildlife so close is a reminder that protecting the forest isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s what allows incredible species like these toucans to continue calling this place home.

At Finca KOA, we believe great coffee and a healthy ecosystem go hand in hand. By protecting their habitat, we create a space where wildlife feels safe enough to live alongside us without losing its wild nature.

Here we are again... giving you another little glimpse into what it’s really like to own a coffee farm. 🌱

Spoiler alert: it’s not just sipping coffee while watching the sunrise. 😅

Running a coffee farm means we’re always building, improving, fixing, planting, and somehow creating three new projects every time we finish one.

As we grow, every harvest helps us reinvest back into the farm—better infrastructure, better processing, better quality, and a better experience for everyone who enjoys our coffee.
But one thing will never change: our commitment to protecting the forest that surrounds us. 🌳 Those trees aren’t “unused land.” They’re part of what makes our coffee possible. Healthy forests help create healthier soil, cleaner water, better biodiversity, and ultimately... better coffee.

That’s what working directly with a producer looks like. You’re not just buying coffee—you get to see where your investment goes and how every season helps us build something better.

Ever wondered how coffee becomes... export-quality coffee? ☕

No, we don’t just pick coffee cherries and throw them in a bag.

After drying, the beans still have a protective layer called parchment. During milling, that layer is removed, and then the coffee goes through another important step: sorting.

The beans are separated by size, and any defects are removed. Only the coffee that meets our export standards moves on.

Think of it like a team tryout... not every bean makes the starting lineup.

It’s one of the many reasons why specialty coffee tastes so different from commodity coffee. Every step matters, long before the coffee reaches your roaster—or your cup.

A few weeks ago, our newest harvest arrived at the dry mill. One of the most important moments in the journey from farm to cup.

Here, the machines remove the protective parchment, sort every bean by size, and help eliminate defects to ensure a cleaner, more consistent coffee.

Quality isn’t an accident. It’s the result of every decision we make, every step of the way.
