(Sound on) What a wonderful way to bring Pony Finals to an end with the Pony Medal Finals! Matty top 20 after round 1 and qualifying for Round 2 finishing 16th overall out of 203 riders riding Goldhill’s Arresting Charm. First time in the Alltech Arena and first time in the Pony Medal we couldn’t be more thrilled!! Thank you commentators for the wonderful words and thank you East Wind Farm team for making moments like this happen!! So proud of this kid 🏅👏🏻❣️

The Betsy Fishback Memorial Trophy awarded to the best turned out pony in the hunter sections of Pony Finals; Donated by Dr. William D. Fishback and Kelley Goguen in memory of Betsy Fishback, a longtime volunteer and supporter of Pony Finals. Congratulations to the grooms, braiders and all those back at the barn who turned out Bellini 🍑 in such beautiful condition…this award goes to all of you!! No easy task with a grey/white pony as we all know. Such a peach 🍑 of a pony 🏆

Super good for Berry Good, KitKat and 8 yr. old Matty Morrissey in the Small and Medium Pony Jumpers at USEF Pony Finals! Team Silver in the Small Pony Team Championship with double clear rounds from KitKat helping to lift the team onto the podium 🥈 Multiple clear rounds on both ponies across the three days of showing❣️ And Matty receives the coveted Pony Jumper Style Award chosen by the judges and given to the rider who “exhibits the best classical jumper style of riding throughout the Pony Jumper classes.” Presented the Short Stop Perpetual Trophy. Beyond thrilled!!! Thank you Maggie for all your coaching this week and making dreams come true ❤️

What a debut for 8 year old Matty Morrissey and Goldhill’s Arresting Charm placing 3rd in the Small Pony Hunters Over Fences with scores of 90.29, 87.56, and 87.12! The pair finished 11th Overall with 117 ponies competing. This was Matty’s first year in the Small Pony Hunter division and we couldn’t be prouder of her poise and confidence at such a young age!! Huge thanks to Maggie Gould for all the hours of training that go into moments like this. And big thanks to the behind the scenes staff at East Wind Farm who work tirelessly to get the ponies to the ring ready to go. None of it is possible without the entire team. And to Three Ships and Abby Blankenship we cannot be more grateful for this incredible pony❣️

The ladies were amazing this past weekend at GLEF 5 taking home Championships in both the .85 and .95 divisions with multiple class wins! Big thanks to HVL Sniper and Tannin’s Adara 🫶

Matty takes the Championship on Woodland’s Tinker Tot in the Small Pony Hunters and is now qualified for 2027 Pony Finals. The pair also win the Pony Hunter Classic🏆 Smoke Tree Starlet takes the Reserve Championship in the Smalls, 2nd in the Pony Hunter Classic and 2nd WIHS Equitation. Standing 3rd overall WIHS Pony Equitation 🏆 KitKat wins the WIHS Pony Jumper Classic. Now 3rd in the overall WIHS Pony Jumper standings on KitKat and 4th on Berry Good!
Off to Pony Finals for a very exciting week ahead 👏🏻
