This soil came from a pond/lake clean up. It is dark, fertile soil and clay mixed with some sand.

Those who have kept up over the last few years know that lots of work, hard work, has been done to try and rejuvenate the once beautiful lake here that was ignored, dumped in, and unmanaged for decades. Lots of help from friends and lots of sweat have begun to pay off. Still a lot to do, and lots more sweat and money will be spent. But it is beginning to pay off with the return of the natural ecosystem that once existed here. These were caught today on the the partially restored lake and returned, to continue their part in the restoration. This is just a couple of the now multiple species of fish that have returned to the property.
This also shows what is possible when we stop destroying habitats to place homes and businesses, and instead protect it and live with it.

I have received messages, texts, and e-mails from old friends and new, asking what I have been doing since leaving full-time ministry. Aside from helping FBC where needed; installing CCTV cameras, bluetooth soundsystem, and anything else needed (no pics of these, sorry), here are a few things I have been able to be a part of, or have gotten to do. In 2020, during the shut down, work began on the overgrown and never managed pond.
It has now started to bear fruit.
Tilapia, bluegill, and catfish are now maturing nicely.
