This is how my day started!🤣😂 Barbara is still sitting on her 12 eggs. I now have 2 broody ducks, each on 12 eggs!

Found Barbaras nest! She is sitting on 12, all hers! That means Im still looking for stockpiles. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ Thats the majority of chicken care.

Oh my…I think I have two more broody hens. One, who is usually one of the first in the coop in the evenings didnt cone home last night. She came home just long enough to eat, drink and rapidly disappear again. I tried to follow her and she just walked in a circle about 15’ in diameter. She knew exactly what I was doing. If Poppy and Freeda can hatch 9 and 10 then Im certain Barbara is big enough to hatch 20. Yeah its Barbara so she could be on 30 of her own eggs and I havent gotten as many eggs from my two leghorns as I expected to the last couple of weeks. Oh and Betty is only giving me one a week as opposed to 6. 🤦🏻‍♀️ She could literally be on a case of eggs…hope the warm ones are hers….the other a satin mix is laying on fake eggs and has plucked her belly bald. I picked her up out of the nest and set her down and Im telling you not a feather moved out of that flat but wide broody sitting stance. Roxy’s mama was a good mama. I might give her a couple ggs tomorrow and see how she does. We already know my flock is good with the babies.
