Itโs hard to believe itโs been a whole year since the SWFL area received this Emergency Alert. At 3:07pm, we still didnโt know for sure whether was still standing. It was confirmed gone a few hours later when we saw a viral video of our building floating 200 yards across the street ๐ฅ We couldnโt believe our eyesโฆ Reality became very real once we saw what remained in person.
Weโd first like to give our love, prayers, & condolences to everyone who lost more than just their homes, cars, &/or businesses. There were people who did not survive this tragedy. We want to thank all of our loyal customers, friends, & families who have supported us along this journey beginning at & through our abrupt & unexpected ending at the cafe location. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, we were so comforted by all of you who reached out to us & helped us in the ways you could.
Over the last year, we have enjoyed updating you on progress made on FMB & with Little Palm 2.0. Immediately following the hurricane, we spent a lot of much needed uninterrupted quality time with family. It had been quite some time since we were able to do that! We also helped our island neighbors & friends with debris removal on their properties & assisted the local community with monthly beach clean ups. We then traveled back to Delaware to help with a family business & now we have another exciting update for you!
If the Lord wills, we will be spending the next month traveling (RV Style) with Joshโs 94 year-old grandfather who has requested our company on a road trip to visit family he has not seen in awhile. We are looking forward to some exploring/adventuring after being in DE for the last 5 months. We will update you all once we return to sunny SW Florida! ๐ด
