A message from Mike: A review came in this week that we’ll be thinking about for a long time. 💛

Paula brought her mom in for lunch — her mom had just had surgery and was using a walker. One of our team saw her at the door and came out to hold it open. Then a group of guests who were just finishing up offered her mom their table… and their last slice of pizza. Nobody asked them to. They just did it.

When my wife and I opened Fine Folk Pizza, part of the dream was simple: prove great pizza can be made right here in Florida. But the bigger dream was always bigger than food — to build a place that leaves our corner of Fort Myers a little kinder than we found it.

👉Somewhere kindness is just how things are done.

That’s exactly what happened for Paula and her mom, and it’s the proudest we’ve been in a long time.

Kindness is contagious. A good neighborhood is just people looking out for one another. Fine folk, all of us — that’s not just our name, it’s the place we set out to build.

A quick note from Mike 👋

Ever wonder how many hands it takes to make one high quality pie?

More than you’d think, and a lot of them you’ll never see. After 10 years, I’ve realized none of us are doing this alone.

So here’s to all of them:

The master pizzaiolos who came before us, the chefs and grandmas who taught with love, and the ones working today who still share their craft instead of guarding it. The authors and teachers who wrote it all down so we could learn it. The farmers who work the land to grow what we need. The incredibly passionate folks who mill our flour and craft our high quality ingredients. The people who load up and deliver it, rain or shine.

Our team that prepares every recipe with care, top quality, out the door as fast as we can. The neighbors and the whole community who make Fort Myers the kind of place a little pizza shop can call home. And you, on the other side of the counter, who turned it into something that’s lasted over 10 years.

Here’s what I’ve come to believe: every one of those hands belongs to good people doing honest work, treating the craft, the ingredients, and each other with dignity. Fine folk, all of us. That’s not just our name. It’s how we try to treat everything and everyone. 🍕

So when the quality check passes ✅, that checkmark belongs to all of us. I just get to hold it up and smile. 😄
