Expecting a good run SATURDAY, August 1, 2026, starting at 9am with weigh cows, bred cows, big bulls, stocker & feeder calves.
Yard man on duty all night FRIDAY to receive your cattle! We had a nice rain last night to cool things down & settle the dust!
Expecting 1500 hd includes 8 loads of yearlings & several nice bunches of calves! 9 am sale starts! Haying & canning in full swing!! July hot! Thanks for your business!

Great pic of Trent & family!! Congrats!!!

In case some of you haven’t met all of our wonderful veterinarians yet we thought we would introduce them.

Today we are introducing Dr. Joely Roe-Johnson and her husband, Trent Johnson.
Dr. Joely joined BCVC in July of 2023 post graduation at our sister clinic, Bates County Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from Purdue University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She has a childhood background of working on the family ranch, which sparked her interest in becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Joely, Trent Johnson (husband), and Waylon Johnson (son) live in southeast Kansas on the family ranch. Rural medicine has always been a passion of hers and continues to be since graduating.

Trent is our guy who wears many hats around BCVC. You might see Trent assisting the vets, helping with construction projects, mowing the yard, and whatever else is needed to keep our facilities up and running. Trent is a local to this area, graduating from Allen County Community College and Kansas State University. When not busy at BCVC, Trent is working on their family ranch or auctioneering at Fort Scott Livestock Market.

Congrats Megan!!!

Meet our Team
Today we are introducing Dr. Megan Westerhold. Dr. Megan graduated from Kansas State University in 2021 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She grew up helping on the family farm and cattle operation in northwest Vernon County, Missouri. After obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri, she served as an Extension Agent in Kansas for a few years before returning to vet school. Prior to moving back to this area, Megan enjoyed her work as a veterinarian in southeast Kansas for 4 years.
