And this is why you should raise your own chickens. 🤔 We have hatched over 150 chicks in the last month and will enjoy fresh eggs, free range chicken dinners, and less bugs all year for the price of two dozen eggs a week.

Two ~127 gallon water troughs later, this is what over 100 chicks look like in the brooding stage. Over 50 are about 4 weeks old and the rest about a week. The smaller troughs not in the top picture are ducks, in the same stages. What have we gotten ourselves into.

I think we will wait until March to fill the incubators again. 😝 Right now the house sound like a rainforest.

Ordering from Tractor Supply Co. online is an excellent way to save time and money. However, there can be challenges with your local store. Thankfully, I didn't have to get on the freeway for this visit. I requested that they wrap the pallet before loading it onto the trailer. The associate seemed to think it was a casserole rather than 1,000 pounds of ranch supplies!

It seems the staff at my local McDonald's must have turned over, again. I’ve started using the app instead of trying to explain my order in person. Initially, it worked well, but I just got home from McDonald's, they didn’t include the extra patties on the burgers I paid for. I guess I’ll have to go back to being the person who checks everything before leaving the drive-thru. 😞
