We’ve restocked our location at Robinson Chapel on Tonkel Road with LOTS of orange and carving pumpkins in all sizes—some warty, some smooth—all waiting for you to pick your favorite!

A special shout-out to my grandson Casen, showing off that championship ring—and today also happens to be his 11th birthday! Happy birthday, Casen! 🎂🎉 What a season to celebrate!

🌽 A little sweetcorn update from the field!

I just came out of the patch, and there’s a noticeable difference in the color and plumpness of the kernels! We’re making progress, but with these cool temperatures and shorter days, it’s still a very slow process.

As you can see, these are smaller ears—that’s October sweetcorn for you! But I’m still hopeful we can get this patch harvested for those of you craving one last taste of summer. ☀️🌽

We’ll give it the taste test before we harvest to make sure it’s up to our standards. I’ll keep checking and keep you posted!

Our giant pumpkins have found a home in a fall harvest display at our Robinson Chapel location—and all that’s missing is you and your family! 🍂🧡

Look at what I discovered in the field tonight! 🎃

This giant is absolutely beautiful. With its deep green color and those gorgeous curves, it looks like an antique—something straight out of an old-fashioned fall painting!

I’ll be bringing it to our Robinson Chapel location along with some other giants so you can see them up close and take some fun fall photos.

Bring the family and your camera—these beauties deserve their moment in the spotlight! 📸🍂

🌽 October Sweetcorn Update! 🌽

Many of you have been asking whether we’ll have any more sweetcorn—and I’ve been wondering myself!

I just came out of the field, and the good news is that, as far as I can tell, the freezing temperatures did not kill the crop! It looks like the corn will continue to develop and mature, but it may be next week before we can harvest.

With these cold nights, cooler days, and shorter daylight hours, it’s a slow process. We’re letting the corn take the time it needs!

These will be smaller ears, as you can see in the picture. That’s part of growing sweetcorn this late in October—but it should be just as scrumptious as before! We’ll do a taste and quality test before we harvest and let you know how it turns out.

I’m hopeful we’ll still get another harvest, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience. I’ll keep checking the field and keep you posted!

🌽 October Sweetcorn Update 🌽

I just checked two ears this morning, and it looks like we made it through the first round of low temperatures last night! Hopefully, we can get through tonight, too. 🤞

As you can see, the kernels are starting to color up, and I’m hopeful we’ll have another picking of good sweetcorn!

Keep in mind, though—we’re talking about sweetcorn heading into late October. With cooler temperatures and shorter days, it takes a little more patience. Expect smaller ears, and some tips may not fill out completely. That’s October sweetcorn!

We’re taking it one night at a time. I’ll keep you posted on how it’s coming along and when it’s ready! 🌽

🏈 BIG GAMES. GREAT COMMUNITY! 🌽

Our Aunt Gena’s Gourmet Sweetcorn community represents a whole lot of college football loyalties, and we’ve got some big games this weekend!

Tonight, a shout-out to our Purdue fans as the Boilermakers take on the Washington Huskies!

Tomorrow brings Indiana against Ohio State in one of the biggest matchups of the weekend, Notre Dame traveling to face BYU, and my Penn State Nittany Lions taking on Michigan—which also has plenty of fans in our sweetcorn community!

Now, you all know where my heart is. It’s been another tough year for Penn State, with a new coach and a roster that’s gone through plenty of changes. I’ll be honest: I’m not confident we’ll pull this one out against Michigan—but I’ll be cheering for my Lions every step of the way!

Whatever colors you wear, I wish your teams good luck. I appreciate every one of you and the community we share. A little friendly rivalry just makes it more fun!

But I still have to finish with…

🌽 Sweetcorn update from Uncle Steve!

I know I’ve been a little quiet lately—we’ve been busy with pumpkins and other crops!

I just checked our next patch of sweetcorn. I was hoping this week’s warm weather would push it along enough for the weekend, but it needs more time.

We’re looking at sometime next week, provided it makes it through any frost we get. 🤞
