Dear Sweet Customers,

Due to my ongoing medical conditions and continued care needs, I am having to close my charcuterie business. It’s taken me a long time to write this, as it is breaks my heart, but I unfortunately can no longer keep up with my business. Effectively immediately, Rosemary + Goat Charcuterie will no longer be in business or able to help out with orders.

I am currently working with friend who is building her charcuterie/baking business and will be sharing more about her in the near future.

I want to thank everyone of you for outpouring of love and support for me and my small business. You have blessed my life in more ways than I could every say.

Health Update:

105 days ago everything changed. After dozens of ER visits, P*P and Specialist appointments, I have been diagnosed with Bilateral Trigeminal Neuralgia (typical on left side and atypical on right side of face). Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affect the 5th Cranial Nerve, the Trigeminal Nerve. This nerve starts at the base of your brain behind your ear and routes over the ear to the face and branches out into three different branches that effect the eyes, cheeks, nose, lip and jaw. This nerve carries sensations from the face to the brain. The atypical pain on the right side of my face is a constant, pressure/crushing, burning pain that hasn’t gone away in 105 days. The typical pain on the left side is a sudden, intense, electric shock-like pain in the face that last for a few minutes or less, then it goes away. This typical Trigeminal Neuralgia pain comes and goes many times a day. I am currently on some medication that is keeping the pain at a pretty tolerable level, since the pain medications aren’t working. Based on our most recent Neurosurgeon appointment yesterday, my case of Trigeminal Neuralgia is very complex, so I have been referred to one of two very specialized Neurosurgeons at UT Southwestern in Dallas. So no we wait for an appointment and try very hard to stay out of the emergency room.

Unfortunately I never know how I will feel hour to hour, so Rosemary + Goat is still temporarily closed.
