The Prime Ranch Futurity is a Stallion based program and will offer various Ranch Futurity classes for Yearlings, Two Year Olds and Three Year Olds by enrolled Stallions.
$600 enrollment fee plus $25 admin fee.

Prime Ranch Futurity launches this fall

January 18, 2023, Fort Worth, Texas


The Prime Ranch Futurity is a new ranch performance program for “eligible” horses sired by enrolled stallions to vie for a portion of the total purse in classes aimed at ranch conformation, ranch hand trail, ranch pleasure, ranch reining prospects. Prime Events Inc. is pleased to announce the Prime Ranch Futurity coming this fall with the event location to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Prime Ranch Futurity is based on enrolled stallions with a limit of 100 stallions for the first year. This will exclusively feature 100 Stallions with an opportunity for Stallion owners to earn prize money and a chance at year’s use of a brand new horse trailer. With the enrollment fulfilled of stallions the estimated purse will be over $75,000 in the first year.
After discussions with Ranch Horse owners, and trainers, we are excited to showcase Owner- Breeder-Exhibitor and Color Breed Bonuses. Prime Events Inc. decided to have a program where the Color Breed horse can win a significant amount of money, while rewarding the stallion owners & breeders at an affordable cost. The Prime Ranch Futurity will reward the Stallion Owners, as these programs are not viable without their support, therefore the classes will pay the following: 80% of the offspring earnings will go to the owner at the time of the class and 15% will go to the Stallion Nominator with 5% being retained for program expenses.

The Prime Ranch Futurity is open to APHA, ApHC, ABRA, AQHA, IBHA, PHBA, stallions to enroll. All Yearlings, Two Year Olds and Three Year olds sired by enrolled stallions will be eligible to show at the Prime Ranch events in 2023. Once stallions are enrolled, their offspring can be nominated yearly to maintain eligibility.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem grew up on a ranch, doing nearly every task horseback. Kristi’s father regularly gave her and her three siblings what she calls impossible tasks. “It was, ‘Go break that c**t, ride it and get it ready to go to the mountains’ when I was 10 years old,” she says. “‘Go make that mean mother cow get in the chute and make the calf suck’ when you’re 8 years old. And you didn’t come back and tell him you couldn’t get her in. You didn’t come back until it was done.

“My dad taught me to be a problem solver,” she says. “He taught me to tackle things and not quit. And then when you actually do accomplish them, it builds your confidence and makes you think that you probably can take on the hard stuff.
