Farm Fact Friday | Fiber on the Farm 🐑🦙

Did you know some of the coziest things we wear start right here on the farm?

Sheep, alpacas, and Angora goats grow a new fleece each year, and annual shearing helps keep them comfortable and healthy during the warmer months. Once the fiber is cleaned and spun into yarn, it’s transformed into everything from warm sweaters and hats to cozy blankets.

From the pasture to the finished product, every fiber tells the story of agriculture, stewardship, and the incredible resources nature provides.

Join us for the final Summer Nights at the Farm on Thursday, July 30, from 6:30–8:30 PM! This is your last chance to experience Timberview Farmstead before we reopen for Pumpkin Patch season in October.

Cool off with water games, enjoy fishing, meet and interact with our farm animals, enjoy hayrides, watch our evening dairy goat milking, grab a slice of watermelon and a popsicle, and explore our pop-up market. It’s the perfect way to wrap up summer with family and friends.

See you at the farm!

Timberview Tuesday | Episode 4: Beyond the Classroom

Have you ever wondered why so many schools choose to bring their students to Timberview Farmstead?

Because learning changes when students experience it.

Real experiences. Real questions. Real discovery.

We’ve seen students arrive unsure and leave asking questions they never knew to ask. Through hands-on learning, curiosity grows into confidence, and lessons become experiences they’ll remember long after they leave the farm.

Farm Fact Friday: Compost Edition 🌱

Nothing goes to waste at Timberview Farmstead. Compost is nature’s way of recycling!

We combine “browns” from our barn, like straw and bedding, with “greens” from our greenhouse, like plant trimmings, to create nutrient-rich compost. Once it’s ready, we use it to enrich our garden beds, improve our soil, and help our plants thrive.

We are halfway through our 2026 Summer Camp season, and what an incredible summer it has been so far.

From hands on agricultural experiences and meaningful interactions with our animals to new friendships and unforgettable memories, each week has been filled with opportunities for campers to grow in confidence, curiosity, and character.

Thank you to the families who have entrusted us with their children this summer and to our dedicated staff who make these experiences possible!
