Before there was Bee & Brew, there were bees. 🐝

Long before Chris ever opened a meadery, he was a beekeeper in Quebec owning & managing hundreds of hives and producing his own honey.

What many people don’t realize is that in Canada, meaderies are often required to produce the honey used in their mead. So before there were fermentation tanks, bottling lines, and shelves in stores, there were bee yards, hive inspections, queen breeding, and honey harvests.

These photos are from those early days.

Bee & Brew wasn’t built from a business plan. It was built from years of working alongside thousands of bees and developing a deep respect for the craft that starts with them.
