The Market at Race Street

It’s gettin real!

10/12/2026

On a stormy day in June ⛈️we planted 4 okra plant starts right before the skies opened up and poured! ☔️ We adopted this flowerbed from the City of Fort Worth.

Since that day we have harvested 🌾💯pounds of okra! We aren’t stopping there either! 🪏🪴🫜🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

We have more veggies we started from seeds inside the market🫜🥬🥕🌿🫛🥦🧄🧅🍆🥔🥒🌶️🍠
We have started planting and will plant more as our seedlings 🌱are ready to be put out. We are planting several lettuces, carrots, golden zucchini, radishes, green beans, eggplant, cauliflower, cabbage and will be adding more.

Why⁉️

We just want to prove anyone 👨🏻‍🌾👩🏼‍🌾🧑🏾‍🌾👨🏿‍🌾👩🏻‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾🧑🏻‍🌾👨🏼‍🌾🧑🏽‍🌾can grow their own food anywhere. All this space the city has could be turned into food to feed our families and community. 🏘️ ❤️.

Join us! Saturday, October 24 from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM for the first annual RACE STREET SEED
EXCHANGE. The Market will be giving out seeds to start your own garden. Bring seeds you have to share with others.
