Featured here are some of the rescue babies. Although this flyer includes a few that are already adopted, please continue to monitor our posts for updates. We have recently received more horses. This week, we will be sending out adoption papers for pre-completion, so kindly text 817-822-9116 with your name and email to receive the documents. Additionally, we will be conducting live feeds with horses on Saturday.

"No one has ever asked me the question “Now, why do you enjoy horses so much?” But if they did, I wouldn’t be able to come up with an acceptable answer. I don’t totally understand it myself. The facts are, horses are expensive, large, risky, high maintenance, consuming and often a lot of drama. It’s not always a ball of fun. It can be stressful. It’s a humbling and constant learning process. I could counter that with their beauty, grace, fun, friendship and intelligence, but really none of those qualities define why I am drawn to the horse. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a reason to get out of bed in the morning, take a walk around the property in a blizzard, and get up at 3 a.m. to see if there are new baby colts. I’ve seen callused old men light up when they talk about cowboying on their favorite gelding years ago. I’ve seen toddlers bubble over with joy when they reach their chubby hands out and pet a friendly Shetland. What a gift the horse is to all of us, from the greenest of riders to the most experienced horsemen there are. " — Kelli Neubert

Meet Kidd, a super cute 6 year old Appendix gelding who’s ready to find his person! Kidd is green broke with a solid start under saddle and a wonderful foundation to build on. He’s athletic, good-minded, and enjoys having a job — the kind that’s fun to work with every day.

Kidd has a puppy-dog personality and really enjoys connecting with his rider. With a calm, patient approach, he stays relaxed and focused, always trying to do what’s asked of him. He shows great potential for ranch work, trail riding, or western versatility.

He’s been ridden both in the arena and outside, and he is getting more confident with every ride. Kidd is easy to have around with a sweet, willing attitude.

A couple of good lookin' horses at Empty Rocker Ranch yesterday! Levi is making great progress under saddle and Kidd has come leaps and bounds from the nervous, wary horse he started as. A little softness and consistency go a long way.

Building trust with Zeus one training session at a time. 💕

Zeus is a 3 year old Percheron gelding sold through the auction pipeline after being labeled as dangerous by his breeder. Since starting to work with him, I've realized he probably outsmarted his way into a corner by using his size to intimidate. He is massive, and massively intelligent. We have gone back to the very basics of handling to work through some of his anxiety behaviors, teaching him to trust that being asked for something new doesn't require him to be on the defensive. The more I work with him, the more willing and patient he is becoming. I can't wait to see what we accomplish in the future.

Couldn't ask for a better summer day to work horses! We've got a true cowgirl in the making, Levi is learning the ropes, and homegrown Pixie had her first official outing this evening. Good horses make my job easy!
