🌱 Get Grounded: A Grand Opening & Land Blessing

The soil is calling, and it’s time we answer. Join us for a morning dedicated to the profound connection between land and body. We aren't just opening a space; we are honoring the roots that sustain us and the rituals that keep us whole.

✨ The Flow of the Morning
We’ve curated a lineup of artists and leaders to help us transition into this new chapter with intention:

Ancestral Honor: We will open with a traditional libation and drum ceremony to invite the presence and wisdom of those who came before us.

The Word: Tammy will lead us through a timely, grounded message focused on our responsibility to the earth and each other.

The Blessing: The heart of our day—a collective blessing of the land, soil, and seeds that connect our community.

Community Connection: Rub elbows with your neighbors and keep an eye out for our local council members—if their busy schedules allow, they’ll be joining us to celebrate the growth of our district.

🗓️ Event Details
When: Sunday, May 17th

Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Where: 5309 Booker T Street 76105

🌱 To touch the earth is to have harmony with nature

Come ready to breathe, to listen, and to get your hands a little dirty. Let’s plant the seeds for a future we can all be proud of.

See you at the start of the row. 🌿

They say it takes a village, but it actually takes an entire ecosystem. 🌱✊🏾

Before we cut the ribbon on May 17th, we’re throwing it back to the day we put the first trees in the ground. This unreleased video from Dec 6, 2025, is a love letter to everyone who showed up for The Corner Orchard.

Gratitude to our core partners:

🙌🏾Brother Howard & Urban Village Family Services for providing the ground we stand on.

🙌🏾Oak Cliff Veggie Project for the unwavering support.

🙌🏾Texas Trees Foundation for the green future.

🙌🏾Our close friends and collaborators who also show up in force. You know EXACTLY who you are. 🙌🏾🙌🏾

🙌🏾Dr. Smith at Uplift Mighty and all the incredible educators who brought the knowledge.

And most importantly—our neighbors. 🏡 Thank you for handling the construction noise and the traffic with grace. We’re doing this for us, and we can’t wait to celebrate the results with you at our Grand Opening!

Want to be part of the next chapter? We’re looking for volunteers and project sponsors to help us reach true food sovereignty.
