🧭🌎 Homeschool Field Trip: Age of Exploration! ⛵✨

Join us at AM PM Farms on Friday, April 17th for an interactive adventure into the Age of Exploration!

⛵ Set Sail with Ferdinand Magellan
Hear the true story of the wild expedition that first circumnavigated the globe. Then act out the adventure as we travel around the room creating Magellan’s Munchies!
🌪 Will you survive the hurricane?
🐀 Will you be brave enough to eat a ship’s rat?

🗺 Follow the Journey of Hernando de Soto
Discover the expedition of the conquistador who traveled through the Upstate of South Carolina. As we map his route, you’ll learn about the people he encountered—including a kidnapped Native American queen who eventually escaped.

💰 Hands-On Activities:
📿 Pretend to barter with Native tribes to make beaded necklaces
🌿 Create art using Spanish moss just like explorers found in the South

Times:
9:30–11:00 AM
11:30–1:00 PM

Cost: $10 per child

🐄 This is a working farm — please wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
🌞 This is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather.

🧺 Families are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy time together with other homeschool families before or after the event.
