We’ve had a lot of questions lately about our canner, so I figured I’d give a little update! ❤️
I bought a canner at the beginning of the summer not knowing exactly how I wanted to utilize it, but knowing it could be a really great addition to our business. Over the summer, I’ve been using it here and there for ourselves, friends, and family while I figure out exactly how I want to offer our canned sips. The thing with canned sips is that they’re not something we’ll be selling as a “buy now, drink later” concept. If we were to do something like that, we would need a whole other food license, and that’s probably not even a possibility in a trailer. Because of that, I want to be really careful about how and when we sell them, because they are intended for direct consumption.
The really cool thing about canning is that canned drinks are MUCH easier for deliveries! Having them sealed makes it so much easier to transport them, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that the drinks are sealed when they leave the trailer and aren’t opened until you’re ready to drink them. While we don’t currently offer delivery during our typical open hours, I’d love to be able to offer it more throughout the fall on closed days and especially during the winter, when the trailer itself isn’t traveling for the season. I’d also love to still be able to come to markets and events during the wintertime when the trailer isn’t traveling and bring our canned drinks along with us.
I’ve had a LOT of people wanting to buy our canned drinks already, and some people wanting several at a time, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am that so many of you are excited about these! ❤️ I just really want to make sure we do this the right way and don’t give the wrong impression that they are a “for later” drink. So for now, we’re still figuring everything out behind the scenes and making sure we’re doing it correctly!
