What do we do when we find an unmarked egg under a broody hen? We collect it! Multiple times a day we go out into the coop make sure they have food and water access. We also regulate so no one is picking on them, because you know hens will sit on them or try to steal their eggs. Then at the end of every night we go under each of them and verify that all of the eggs that were hoping become hatchlings are still being sat on with no additional eggs (currently 25). When we find a bunch that have been left unattended, we put them under a hen who is a good girl and staying in place and when we find unmarked eggs, we remove them and collect them for the day. Making sure both our customers are getting fresh eggs and our baby chicks are developing safely are equal priorities here. Thanks for coming along with us.
