Picking produce for Manistee market tomorrow! I'll have radishes, green onions, lettuce mix, zippy lettuce mix, arugula, rhubarb, and boc choy.
Also currently hoping and praying as I wash produce that the forecast is correct and we get some rain today, because my garden could certainly use it! 🤞

Enjoy a few glamorous pictures of what's to come in the garden. Not pictured are the weeds hiding outside the frame. 😆
Today I'm planting my 3rd plantings of lettuce mix, arugula, and radishes and taking on some of the aforementioned weeds.
Very thankful to be able to work outside in the sunshine. ❤️

What a fun time of year! I've got carrots, onions, beets, radishes, lettuce mix, arugula, and lettuce in the ground! Very thankful for the rain we got today that will be helping these seeds pop out of the soil in a few days! 🤩

Whoo-hoo! I'm finally in the garden planting, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and there's no rain forecasted for the next couple days! 🤩
Today I'm transplanting peas. Typically I direct seed my peas, but this year I wanted a head start so I could plant 3 crops of peas instead of 2. So far the germination is great and the plants are healthy! 🌱

Gardening update: due to the excessive rainfall and my garden's excellent water retention (great in the summer, not so much now), my spring crops will be ready about 2 weeks later than normal. I was able to plant some lettuce mix in my small home garden, but the rest awaits dry weather.

It might be cold outside, but inside my grow room is a balmy 65° sheltering little broccolis, peas, swiss chard, lettuce, and more! I love seeing green at the end of a long winter. 💚

I finally got to put my hands in some dirt this week! So happy to be starting the 2026 gardening season! 🤩

Well, the gardening season has officially ended with that frost last night, and what a wonderful summer it was! I'm so thankful for the good weather, lots of rain, a lack of pests this year, and all the other blessings that made this summer so good! Thank you to everyone who so faithfully came to the markets every week and supported my little business. ❤️
I'm already looking forward to the next season of gardening after a rest this winter! See you all then! 😀
