You know it’s hot when your chickens start laying eggs in their water!🥵 Has anyone else had a hen do this? This is a first for me. 😂

** We had been at the hospital all day with my mother so I was gathering eggs afrer dark and changed their water the following morning. They get fresh water daily but they do stand it in when it is so hot. I assume it felt too good for this leghorn to want to leave it to lay her egg. **

It’s been a while! There’s a lot of stressful stuff happening in life right now but collecting eggs still brings me joy. I’ve got at least 3 Swedish Flower Hens I got from Christi's Coop life and one BCM from The Old Rugged Roost that have started laying within the past week or two. New layers are always exciting! Show me your pullet eggs in the comments.
