We’d like to take a lot more of the credit than we’re entitled to - having Abby as an intern here at the farm has been fulfilling for our entire team! We could write a book on why she’s so deserving of this award, but we’ll keep it short:
“If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” We confidently believe if Abby pursues and finds a career that involves animals and agriculture, she will never work a day in her life. Not only will Abby be using her talents for her own passions, but the field of agriculture will be all the better by having her in it. We’ve enjoyed sharing in and seeing Abby’s passion and curiosity grow over our time working together and truly look forward to seeing what she will accomplish as she continues to learn and grow as a future agriculture professional.

CONGRATULATIONS to Abby Thelen who has been chosen as a Star Finalist by the Michigan FFA Association in the area of Production! We wish her the best of luck in her upcoming final interview. Ovid-Elsie FFA is very proud of Abby and will be cheering her on as she continues to the next stage of judging.
Abby had to complete a lengthy application about her Supervised Agricultural Experience and FFA involvement. That pool of MI FFA applicants was then narrowed down to those to be reviewed for on-site interviews, from which she was selected as 1 of 3 State Star Finalists. Abby has one final stage of interviews before the winner will be announced at the Michigan FFA Convention.
