This morning I was supposed to can greenbeans and jalapenos!
BUT, because my app said it was going to rain, I went outside to pick the tomatoes so they wouldn't split. When out there I noticed everything else needed picked as well🤦‍♀️
I did my job, came inside in a pool of sweat, took a shower and now I'm down for the count. Canning will have to wait until tomorrow!
And now the radar shows the rain is going to miss me😭 And now I have more to process!
Side note.. If you are struggling with your garden growing and you have woods, get the nice black dirt from your woods and put it in your garden! My garden has never done so good and my bell peppers are huge!!

🍇After 3 years of fighting with the deer on eating our grapes, last year we decided to put up a deer fence. We had 40 grape plants and the deer ate 17 that didn't come back. So we replaced one row with blueberries and another row with blackberries. And now that the deer can't come in to eat them, we were able to put up the wires to start training them! Look at them babies grow!!

We still have to secure the end posts and replace some of the blueberries and blackberries that they ate, but I'm happy with what we have!

I'm thinking of adding a couple rows of strawberries, pineberries and some more fruit trees now that the deer have moved on :)

When there are sales on things you don't or cannot grow, stock up, process and preserve!

For 8 celery bunches, we paid $8 (Walmart $2.59= $20.72) that is a $12.72 savings, and we got 28 cups! This will be used for soups stews and stir fry.

We also purchased 12 heads of cauliflower for $12 (Meijer is 3.99 = $47.88) that is a $35.88 in savings and we got 21 quarts! We will use this as a side with melted cheese on top, roasted with other veggies or I may even try a cauliflower pizza crust.

I have some delicious mini cakes left from the Pinckney Farmers Market!

I have 4 cookies & cream, 4 banana cream, 4 cherry chip and 7 snickerdoodles left!

They are normally 7ea, but today you can get them for 5!

I also have 2- 4pk of cinnamon rolls left that were baked yesterday morning! Normally they are 18, but today they are 10!

We are located in Fowlerville, North of town! If you're interested in picking some up, pm me to arrange a time.

I rotate flavors, so these may not be available for the next market. I like them all, but the cherry chip brings back childhood memories! :)

Tomorrow, June 4th we will be at the Pinckney Farmers Market from 4-8pm!

We will have plain sourdough bread, French onion sourdough bread, Jalapeño & Cheddar sourdough bread and Amish bread, snickerdoodle, cookies & cream, cherry chip and banana cream mini cakes, tea, duck & chicken eggs, tallow body products and maybe a few raspberry plants.
