My favorite thing to do with all those cucumbers they have at the Farmer's Market! I just sub agave for the sugar and don't toast the sesame seeds. Try it with h**p hearts and kelp powder!

Hey foragers and edible landscapers! Did you know that the leaves of the succulent sedum plants are edible? Biting sedum has even been used medicinally as a treatment for epilepsy and as an abortifacient. And all this time I thought they were just a pretty ground cover!

If you believe that everyone, regardless of financial standing, should have access to fresh produce, please consider asking The Fresh Market to accept SNAP/food stamps by calling 1-866-817-4367. Often their produce (even organic) is competitively priced with other grocery stores, and the quality is unsurpassed (except for Farmer's Markets, of course!).

The cashier at the Hispanic Market gave me a piece of produce to try because he couldn't tell me what it is. (I have been humbled by the culture/language barrier.) I THINK it's a prickly pear or some other cactus fruit...and it looks like the things in this picture. So....what should I do with it :)
