I figured I’d post this, as I’ve been getting some inquiries about hatching eggs since chick season is upon us. My kids were in a terrible car accident around Christmas and my son was severely injured, so I am very behind with the chickens this year and wasn’t able to separate my breeding groups until a couple of weeks ago. That being said, it’ll be a while before I can feel comfortable selling eggs to anyone, as I need to check fertility and test hatch first. The only varieties I’ll be offering in the near future are lavender and chocolate Orpingtons and buff and butterscotch bantam Cochins, but it’ll be a while yet. I’ll be working on my BBS and lemon cuckoo Orps and bobtail bantam Cochins and they may be available later in the year, if I decide they’re producing the quality I’m looking for to make them available to the public. Thank you!

Winter is sooo long here. There is nothing fun to post about when it’s 20 below. The last few days have been in the 30s and all of a sudden, I have three broody girls. This little butterscotch bantam Cochin says, “spring is coming!”
