Today will be the last and final day of cooking maple syrup for 2026. Yesterday started at about 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 3:00 a.m. All we have remaining is about 65 gallons of sap and that's down from 308 gallons just 2 days ago.

Something to say about keeping life simple utilize the two beer method 😂

Well upon building all our new runs and everything for the pigs, while putting in our new pig run we had a huge Rock right where we want to run the fence so around here I figure I have two options we can either move the fence or move the Rock.. This rock is big so we tried to break a chunk off with the jackhammer where we needed the fence to go that didn't work, I tend to utilize the two beer method we gave it a two beers if we didn't have it broken in two beers then we move on to option two which is grab the backhoe dig a big old hole and bury that rock in that hole. Cost me a couple beers but we're getting it buried.
