I woke up at 4:40 this morning to rain pounding our bedroom window. I shot up in bed and woke Chris up and said, “It’s raining?! It wasn’t supposed to rain!” I literally checked the forecast for the 15th time of the day right before I went to sleep (farmer life…IYKYK).

So like the crazy person I am, I threw on boots and a rain jacket and ran up to the high tunnels to open my rain water collection barrels. I had emptied them yesterday when I used the last of the rain water from Tuesday’s crazy rains, so I was going to have to refill them with city water to irrigate. 🙅🏻‍♀️ Listen, farming is too expensive to be paying for city water if I can help it!

So long story short– we are getting some pretty good rains this morning that weren’t in the forecast, I got my rain barrels opened up at 4:45 am, and I might be only *slightly* losing my mind over here trying to keep up with Mother Nature’s mood swings this year 🤪

If y’all want to come support our crazy farm and this farmer who’s half losing her mind most days, come on out to get some flowers this weekend! 💐

I can’t believe another market season is already here, but it is!

Come on down to Century Bank Park in downtown Lawrenceburg for the season opener of our farmers market! Lots of great vendors, Bestie’s Biscuit Wagon food truck, a special guest (Miss KY!), and more.

We are mostly sold out for Mother’s Day!! Thank you, thank you!! If you still need flowers for Mother’s Day, you’re not completely out of luck…yet 😉

Our farm will be open with limited pre-made mason jars, wrapped bouquets, and cutie bud vases.
