The Funny Farm entertained a special overnight guest last night! 12 day old sweet little Valor the baby goat stayed with us while his Mama was out of town. 🐐

It’s been a sad week here at the Funny Farm. As y’all know, these little guys may just be pest control on most farms, but here at our little hobby farm, they are each our friends. We lost these two sweet babies this week — Warbucks at 6 weeks old and Ouiser this morning at 5 weeks old. The Funny Farmer and I spent about an hour trying to revive her to no avail. They were both runts of their litters but more than made up for their size with spunkiness and friendship. I’d hate to think how many steps Warbucks’ little legs took following the Funny Farmer all over the backyard anytime he was outside. And my sweet Ouisy Girl came a running as fast as those little legs would carry her every time I opened the front door to let the dog out. She was a diva in every way and loved the attention. It seems it’s always the ones that attach themselves to us the most that we lose and it never gets easier laying our little friends to rest.
